The woman on the right is Ina, the grandmother of a friend of mine. The one on the left is her friend. Ina is someone I interviewed several times about political repression and life under socialism. She was another person of the type anthropologists like to talk to -- opinionated and with a seemingly undending supply of stories and anecdotes to share.
