Ulaanbaatar has lots of street dogs, although there don't seem to be as many as there used to be.
This is a pack that I came across not far from Sühbaatar Square one December Sunday in 2003. The most interesting thing about this group is that it is much more mixed in regard to breed than I was used to seeing in town. Not sure if this is a new trend, or just an abberation.
I've often been tempted to take one of the all too frequent puppies roaming the street home with me. So far, I've been able to resist, but sometimes just barely.
