After visiting the site, several friends e-mailed and said "Very nice. But we want to see more photos of you." I explained that, as the person usually holding the camera, there weren't that many of me. To make them happy, here's one of the few.
Terelj is a "park" (technically, a nature preserve, although I can't remember the exact name right now - something like a protected area) not too far from Ulaanbaatar. It's a popular place for people from UB to go for the weekend, or even a day. There are lots of ger camps and some hotels for people to stay in.
Despite any possible appearances to the contrary, this was a very tame and lazy horse, whom would only go faster than a slow walk if our guide threatened to beat it.
